A licensed sponsor is an employer the Home Office has approved to sponsor workers from overseas. Only these employers can issue the Certificate of Sponsorship you need to apply for a Skilled Worker visa.

If an employer is on the register, will they sponsor me?
Not necessarily. A licence means the employer can sponsor, not that every role is eligible. The job still has to meet the Skilled Worker rules, and employers rated B usually cannot sponsor new workers. Always confirm with the employer before you apply.
